Chanelle NININAHAZWE was born on January 17 in Muriza, Ruyigi, Burundi. She completed her studies in health sciences, specializing in midwifery, at the University Institute of Health Sciences and Community Development in Bujumbura, graduating on November 11, 2016.
Since 2018, she has been working as a midwife at Gashoho Hospital. In 2019, she joined The Midwife in Action's Association as a member and advisor, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving maternal and reproductive health. As of March 2024, she serves as the General Secretary and midwife at RCBIF.
Chanelle is married and is the second of two siblings. She has faced personal hardships, having lost both her parents, but remains dedicated to her profession and advocacy for maternal health.
