Claude Niyubuntu was born on October 21 in Mabanda, Makamba, Burundi. In 2017, he completed his studies in Health Sciences with a specialization in Midwifery at the University Institute of Health Sciences and Community Development in Bujumbura.
A dedicated professional in maternal and reproductive health, Claude has been actively involved in midwifery leadership. From 2019 to 2023, he served as the General Secretary of the Midwife in Action's Association (MAA), and since 2024, he has been an Advisor to the association.
He is married to a fellow midwife, and together, they have a daughter. Claude is the fifth of eight children in his family.
