Elyse Irakoze
Assistant Legal Representative & Co-Founder
Elyse Irakoze was born in Mugamba, Bururi, Burundi, and completed her studies in health sciences with a specialization in midwifery at the University Institute of Health Sciences and Community Development, Bujumbura, in 2017.
Despite personal hardships, including losing both parents at a young age, Elyse has dedicated herself to improving maternal and reproductive health in Burundi. Since March 2019, she has served as Assistant Legal Representative and co-founder of The Midwife in Action’s Association (MAA), advocating for better healthcare services for women and newborns.
